American Veterinary Hospital is a progressive companion animal hospital located in Simi Valley.
Founded in 1988, American Veterinary Hospital has long been known for its excellence in medicine and its outstanding customer service. Our facility is a full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. Since it inception, American has served the pet care needs of Simi Valley, Ventura County and the San Fernando Valley. Our expert services are also utilized by local law enforcement and local county agencies.
Under the leadership of Luis D. Cruz D.V.M., the experienced doctors and staff of American Veterinary Hospital remain dedicated to delivering expert state of the art medical care with a personal touch. Our hospital provides a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with specialty practices when advanced diagnostic procedures are required. A board certified surgeon and board certifed radiology specialists are available for in house consultation. Our state of the art facility includes a well equipped surgery suite, in-house radiography , ultrasound, and endoscopy. We are excited to announce our new laser surgery capabilities as well. Any surgery can be done now with laser, and we offer laser declaw procedures which minimize healing time in the vast majority of patients. In addition, we are equipped with the latest in telemedicine which allows us to discuss our patient's cases with specialists all over the world.
